The Northern Land Council (NLC) is seeking two skilled Project Coordinator to join our Regional Development Group, supporting land use and development activities on Aboriginal land across the NLC region. This role plays a critical coordination and project administration function, supporting the management of Land Use Expressions of Interest and Land Use Agreements under section 19 and section 19A of the Aboriginal Land Rights (Northern Territory) Act 1976 (ALRA).
About the Role:
Based within the Regional Operations Team, the Project Coordinator is responsible for coordinating project administration and engagement activities associated with third-party land use proposals on Aboriginal land. Working as part of a multidisciplinary team - including Legal, Anthropology, GIS and Regional staff, you will support the assessment of proponents and proposals, coordinate consultation processes, and assist in progressing land use matters efficiently and compliantly. The role involves close engagement with Traditional Owners, Aboriginal groups, government, community service providers and industry stakeholders, as well as coordination of meetings, travel, logistics and reporting. Regular regional and remote travel is a core component of the position.
